Have you ever wondered how it feels like when you lose your savings in the bank or perhaps when you got robbed or held up? You have no choice but to give up and accept the fact that you have to start all over again.
That’s the same feeling when you lose your important data in your computer. Whether you like it or not, you will have to redo everything!
Backup to avoid unintentional loss of important files.
There are lots of criminal who love to get your money from your savings. It is the same thing with your computer data; there are also lots of factors why you lose your data. Many times it happens unintentionally or accidentally due to hardware failure.
Whatever the reason may be, it is imperative to back up your files. It doesn’t matter if they are important or not because one day you might need them somehow. But if you think that file is no longer needed even in the future, then you can delete it permanently by clicking shift + delete. It will not only save your time from backing up files but also save you space for some important files that you need.
Beware of virus stealing your files.
Another reason why you need to back up your computer files is because of viruses that may harm your computer. Without your knowing, they’re already in your system crawling and silently stealing your files. Some viruses cannot be detected by your system until its already corrupting your data files especially if your anti-virus is not updated.
So it is important to update your anti-virus every time you go online. You need to back up your data before they become infected by the viruses because you can no longer retrieve them. If your data are already infected and you back them up, even if you have cleaned your system by removing all the viruses, bringing back the infected files also means bringing in the virus again!
Secure data in more than two locations.
So it is better if you can back up your back up files. What I mean is, you back up your files using traditional method by using different storage devices such as external HD or USB flash drive and then back it up using online backup services available on the internet. That way you have two options on where and how you will recover your files. More backups are always better.
Do system image backup to restore everything.
Aside from data backup or backing up files, why not do system image backup. You will not only recover your files or documents but also the whole system will be restored. This way every file or document including programs or software installed in your system will be restored and there’s no need to recover or install everything one by one.
Data backing up is easy. You have no reason to say that you don’t know how or you don’t have time to do that. Don’t ever think that your computer won’t crash because even the latest state-of-the-art modern computer will eventually crash if you don’t know how to take good care of it.
